At Charityworks, our aim has always been simple: to give emerging talent a meaningful route into social change, while helping non-profits access the skills, energy and fresh perspectives they need.
With that in mind, here are 4 important things to know about Charityworks this year:
1. We’re open all year round
Previously, Charityworks was run according to a recruitment cycle, with one intake per year – but 2025 marks our first year operating a year round model. Recruitment doesn’t have to wait for a specific point in the year – we can support you whenever you’re ready to host a trainee.
2. Diversity is at the heart of our programme
Out of our current applications for the upcoming cohort, 44% are from a global majority background, 11.5% have a disability, 27% identify as LGBTQ+, and 30% are from a working class background – strengthening representation across the sector.
3. Funding is available through the Mark Astarita Fellowship
Created in Mark’s memory, this fellowship provides a 50% subsidy for organisations placing a trainee into a fundraising role through Charityworks, focusing on candidates who have faced a range of barriers entering the charity sector. We have a limited number of places remaining, so do get in touch soon if you are interested in this route.
4. We’re matching at speed
With such a talented candidate pool this year, we’re able to recommend an outstanding candidate within days of receiving details of your role, with an average of 3 to 4 weeks from role submission to job offer.
If you’d like to explore how Charityworks can support your recruitment and development, fill in the contact form on this page, and a member of our team will be in touch shortly – we’d love to work with you.
